Welcome to the latest edition of Massage Moves. With summer rapidly
approaching, we tend to notice an increase in the activity within the
massage business as people become more active (& hence more in need of
remedial massage to relieve those aches and pains). Whilst we try and
ensure that there can be therapists available with reasonable notice, we
certainly recommend that you should call 0407 745126 to make a booking in
advance to avoid disappointment. In order to meet the growing demand,
we are constantly on the lookout for new therapists to join our team.
However rest asssured that we are not prepared to compromise on therapist
quality - preferring to have to decline business rather than send a
therapist who is not suitable.
The next draw for the free home
massage is due to take place on the 15th Oct so good luck.
Best
Regards. Richard and the Eastern Suburbs Mobile Massage
Team.

Summer Series |
 |
For those who are looking to keep fit over summer but are looking to do
something slightly different then NSW Orienteers put a programme of after
work runs that are attracting ever increasing numbers of participants. No
orienteering experience is necessary and "The
Summer Series" events are for everyone, attracting walkers and joggers
through to champion runners. If you enjoy exploring different parts of
Sydney, ranging from some of the finest Harbourside parks through to
suburban bushland then you will love the Summer Series.
The Series
kicks off on 11th October at Lavender Bay and continues throughout the
summer on each Wednesday night. The programme of events is listed here.
Some Eastern Suburbs/Inner West Mobile Massage therapists will be provide
after run massages for the event on 15th November in Haberfield so
hopefully we'll see you there!

Sport and Massage |
 |
With the onset of summer comes an increase in the frequency and
intensity of our exercising. We notice a corresponding increase in the
demand for "Sports Massage". But what is "Sports Massage".
Sports
Massage can be defined as "the specific application of massage techniques,
hydrotherapy protocols, range of motion/flexibility protocol and
strength-training principles utilized to achieve a specific goal when
treating athletes". There are three general principles that are vital to
understanding what type of Sports Massage to apply to an athlete at any
given time. These principles are: · Timing · Technique and · Intent

The Alexander Technique |
 |
As massage therapist, we see many problems that are directly related to
posture. From childhood we develop patterns of tension within our bodies
that frequently lead to common problems such as back pain, stiff necks and
headaches.Massage can play an integral part in restoring natural balance
but without postural awareness then problems are very likely to re-emerge.
Some believe that the Alexander Technique is an intelligent way of
solving body postural problems.
